Beastial[]

The Beastial were humans corrupted by Abolition's power. Once they were Tieflings, but they pushed away their demonic heritage. They came upon the Seikatsu Tree, or "Tree of Life", and pleaded for its help. It removed their demonic heritage from them, but it could not remove it without replacing it with something else. It gave unto them a more animalistic nature, even going as far as to give them tails and ears of various animals.

Physical Description[]

Beastial resemble humans almost perfectly. However, Kemoneko have ears and a tail based off of their animal half and claws. They also tend to still have the animalistic side of them, which causes them to act much like that animal would (a cat would be enticed by string, a wolf enticed by a bone, etc.).

Most beastial hail from the city of Varinia, which lies upon the eastern coast of Jinosa – the main continent of Versumi. Those who do not live there have likely visited Varinia at one point in time in their life, usually during their Coming of Age ritual. Inside the city lies a temple to the Seikatsu Tree. They mostly worship it due to the fact that he removed their demonic heritage from them.

Race Name Traits[]

As a Beastial, you have the following stats:
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2. As well, you can choose to increase either your Intelligence or Wisdom score by 1.
Age. Kemoneko reach adulthood in their late teens and live just shy of two centuries.
Alignment. Kemoneko, due to their worshiping of the Seikatsu Tree, tend to be more neutral aligned.
Size. Kemoneko vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 35 feet.
Animalistic Agility. Your reflexes and agility allow you to move with a burst of speed. When you move on your turn in combat, you can double your speed until the end of the turn. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.
Claws. Because of your claws, you have a climbing speed of 20 feet. In addition, your claws are natrual weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier,instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Animal Talents. You have proficiency in the Acrobatics, Perception, and Stealth skills.
Animalistic Ancestry. You are a half-animal, half-human hybrid. Choose an animal you wish to be, you gain the ears and tail of that animal. As well, you have keen hearing and smell and thus gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Hybrid Nature. You have two creature types: humanoid and beast. You can be affected by a game effect if it works on either of your creature types.
Languages. Kemoneko can speak, read, and write Common and can communicate with animals as if you shared a language.
